Lexus Makes Appearance in Moonfall

Have you seen the new movie, “Moonfall”?

Starring Halle Berry, Charlie Plummer, and Patrick Wilson, this new sci-fi disaster film tells the tale of a mysterious force that knocks the moon from its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course with life as we know it.

Intertwined in the plot are a few appearances from its automotive cast – the new Lexus NX and GX 460.

Plummer’s character drives an NX in a high-action scene, while Berry tags along in a GX 460, used as a government vehicle. Peña plays a Lexus dealer with a scene with him at his store.

As Lionsgate’s official automotive partner, the studio embarked on the Lexus x “Moonfall” marketing campaign to promote the movie and the vehicles in the film. This campaign kicks off with a co-branded 30-second commercial, “Enjoy the Ride,” featuring the NX in high-action footage from the film. The Lexus x “Moonfall” campaign will be promoted across video, digital and social channels. Media partnerships include The Verge, IMDb, Reddit, Roku, and YouTube.

The new NX is now available with an all-new design inside and out, including the Lexus Interface infotainment system and the brand’s first plug-in hybrid driveline. Coming in with a choice of four power sources, including an all-new 275-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged engine.

Plus, the GX 460 is a proven off-roading luxury vehicle. Combining the luxury of a Lexus, the low-end torque of a V8 engine, and ability to tackle the mountains and deserts outside of Las Vegas. No wonder why it has become a favorite vehicle among overlanding enthusiasts.
