Lexus Shows its Latest at Monterey Car Week
Lexus brought the latest additions to its model lineup at Monterey Car Week 2023, showcasing vehicles that exemplify the brand’s bold design, electrification, intuitive technology, and Lexus Driving Signature. Lexus of Las Vegas gives you a rundown of what its brand has to offer.
The Lexus display at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, was performance-themed, headlined by the Lexus RZ Sport Concept, making its first U.S. appearance, after its debut at the Tokyo Auto Salon. The Lexus RZ Sport Concept is based on the recently launched 2023 Lexus RZ 450e EV. Equipped with high-output 150 kW motors in the front and rear, the concept also features a lower suspension (by 35 mm), 21-inch tires, custom aero parts, and bucket seats for the 2nd row.
Also at the event was the first display of the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series limited edition, which will be available in both coupe and convertible body styles. The models feature several unique interior and exterior enhancements as well as an exclusive white exterior and blue interior combination with a matching blue fabric top for the convertible. Only 125 models will be available for sale in the U.S.
Also at the Lexus display at The Quail was Culinary Master and Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy, who conducted expert wine tastings with the public.
Celebrating its 25th year as a sponsor of the Pebble Beach Concours d ’Elegance®, Lexus had on hand, the all-new 2024 Lexus GX and first-ever 2024 Lexus TX on display at the Pebble Beach Golf Links®. Following their world premiere earlier this year, the GX and TX bring in a new era of both body-on-frame and unibody third-row SUVs to Lexus, helping to meet the diverse needs of customers.
Adjacent to the Lexus display at Pebble Beach, was the Lexus Drive Experience, where guests had the opportunity to participate in immersive 20-minute drives through the scenic Pebble Beach Resorts community. The choice of models for the drive included the IS 500, RZ 450e, NX 350h, LX 600, LS 500h, and likely the most popular vehicle for the occasion, the LC 500 Convertible.
Concluding the weekend, Lexus continued its four-year tradition of giving back to the local community by supporting the annual Pebble Beach Concours d ‘Elegance® Charity through a drawing to benefit the Boys and Girls Clubs of Monterey County.
The 2024 Lexus TX is expected to arrive at Lexus of Las Vegas later this fall. The 2024 Lexus GX is scheduled to arrive early in 2024. As mentioned, the 2024 Lexus LC 500 Inspiration Series is limited to 125 units and is likely best obtained by pre-order.
