Lexus Racing Vasser Sullivan RC F GT3 Number 12 at the Rolex 24 at Daytona

IMSA racing is back again!

This year’s Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona began with the two Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F GT3 race cars on the grid. The next 24 hours would be hard-fought. Both number 12 and 14 RC F GT3s set off into the combined big tri-oval and interior road course all through the night.

In the end, the number 12 RC F GT3 placed 13th in the GTD class with Frankie Montecalvo, Robert Megennis, Zach Veach, and Townsend Bell behind the wheel. The number 14 Lexus finished 16th with Jack Hawksworth, Aaron Telitz, Oliver Gavin, and Kyle Kirkwood splitting time behind the wheel. Both Lexus race cars were running at the end of 24 hours.

The next stop on the IMSA WeatherTech Championship series is the legendary 12-hour race at Sebring which will be held on March 20. The race will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network and NBC Sports Gold. After a two month break, it is back to “sprint” racing – the shorter races on the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship circuit. These races, mostly under three hours, is where the Vasser Sullivan Lexus RC F will defend their “sprint” title in the GTD class.
