Great Feats in a Hard Year

In a difficult year, there were some great feats to celebrate.

For example, the emergence of the Lexus Motorsport Vasser Sullivan RC F GT3s on the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship circuit. When the racing schedule restarted, the two neon yellow and black racers went to work. The result was the Sprint Car Championship, as the RC F GT3s dominated the shorter races on the circuit.

Rookie driver Aaron Telitz also earned his stripes behind the wheel of the RC F GT3. He was named Sportscar24’s Rookie of The Year. The 28-year-old from Wisconsin stepped from Indy Lights into the Number 14 car alongside Jack Hawksworth. He mastered everything from Daytona to Laguna Seca behind the wheel of the fastest Lexus around.

Now, we start all over again. The Roar Before The Rolex 24 is just around the corner starting January 22. The next weekend is the first endurance race of the year – the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Two weekends in Daytona Beach to kick things off for a safer 2021 season.

The Number 12 lineup for the Roar and the Rolex will include Frank Montecalvo, Zach Veach, and Lexus brand ambassador Townsend Bell. The Number 14 will be piloted by Telitz, Hawksworth, and Oliver Gavin.
