The Lexus GS
When the moment calls for a sedan to take the boredom out of life, no other car will do.
Excitement warrants something sporty, equipped to the nines, well-appointed, and a heart that beats faster than a human’s.
That car has always been the Lexus GS.
Our mid-sized premium sedan was made to bring excitement back to driving. Today’s GS is no exception. It does so with a driver-focused interior and a choice in power that still excites the mind…and your right foot.
An iconic Look – A Sporty Image
The GS begins with its signature spindle grille. This is the new face of Lexus, luxuriously crafted onto a body that is elegant and stylish.
Four doors open to a world that is designed for exhilaration and luxury. Everything was shaped with form-following function while cheating the wind to ensure ultimate stability.
Up to five people can ride along in the GS. Seats range from supple Aniline leather to sport seating with perforated leather. Selecting the F Sport package in the GS raises the bar in sport sedan comfort and driver focus with a heavily-bolstered seat design and accents befitting a bona fide sports machine.
The dashboard is crafted with accents that coordinate with the color of the upholstery, including several wood trims. Instrumentation is straightforward with a customizable information screen for trip and vehicle readouts.
An available 8-inch screen is your hub for audio functions, a navigation system and the connection to Lexus Enform helps with directions and couples with your smartphone’s apps.
Choose Your GS Wisely
There are four choices in power. The GS 300 starts off with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. With 241 horsepower, the GS 300 is motivated for ample power while returning good fuel economy – up to 32 MPG on the highway. The GS 300 is equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission and available only in rear-wheel drive.
The GS 350 offers a 3.5-liter V6 engine with 311 horsepower on tap. It goes from 0-60 MPG in 5.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 143 MPH. Rear-wheel drive GS 350 models offer an eight-speed automatic transmission. All Wheel Drive is available on the GS 350 with a six-speed automatic transmission.
The Lexus GS F
The GS F is the ultimate expression of this sedan. It is designed for the track as well as the road. It has a 5.0-liter, naturally aspirated V8 with 467 horsepower, good for a 0-60MPH time of 4.5 seconds and a top speed of 168 MPH.
Channeling this power is an eight-speed Sport Direct Shift transmission, designed to work this power through the torque curve. A TORSEN limited-slip differential catches all of this power at the rear wheels. For more rear wheel performance, an available torque vectoring differential provides maximum drive to the wheels. Brembo supplies the stopping power on the RC F.
Inside the GS F, the racing-style seats are designed to lock in the body, ensuring the driver remains focused on the road and his or her vehicle.
While driving the GS F, you will also be fixated on an LFA-inspired, GS F-specific TFT dynamic gauge cluster that is designed to quicken the pulse just by looking at it.
Outside, the GS F gets a more dynamical nose with a deeper spindle grille, a three-bulb LED headlamp system, powerful airflow throughout, an active rear spoiler, and a diffuser with four exhaust ports.
To enhance the driving experience, a drive mode selector knob can switch the GS and GS F from Eco to Sport in an instant, depending on the kind of driving you desire.
F Sport and GS F models get the Sport S+ setting, where engine, transmission, steering and suspension dampening are dialed in for vigorous driving experiences.
Safe and Assured
A Lexus is built to be safe.
Active safety features are designed to keep everyone safe. Features include a Pre-Collision System with Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, lane departure alert, a backup camera, Intuitive Parking Assist, blind spot monitor with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert and Smart Stop Technology.
To further enhance these technologies, Lexus Enform Safety Connect is available to connect with Lexus if an issue arises with the IS. Enform can also be monitored through its smartphone app.
Pricing for the GS starts at $46,610 for the GS 300, while the high-performance GS F starts from $84,350. Comprehensive packages, including the F Sport for the GS 300, and GS 350, are available for each model with a level of equipment to turn a GS into an individual’s delight – including the GS F!
Mid-sized premium sports sedans are supposed to awaken the soul every time driven. The Lexus GS offers an array of sports sedan experiences – ranging from touring to environmentally friendly to sporty driving – that engage the driver and everyone else inside. It is precisely the feeling one needs in Las Vegas.
It all starts with scheduling a test drive or a visit to Lexus of Las Vegasegas for a sampling of the GS sedan.
