The Lexus RC F GT3 Claims Back-To-Back Victories

With the Daytona “short race” in the books, the AIM Vasser Sullivan Lexus went on a winning streak in the IMSA WeatherTech Sports Car Championship. The result is back-to-back wins at Sebring and Road America.

The number 14 Lexus RC F GT3 of Aaron Telitz and Jack Hawksworth took the top podium for the second and third time in the GTD class. At Sebring, Tellitz and Hawksworth made easy work of the two hour and forty minute race on the old airstrip. They had the class lead for a vast majority of the race with a good car and a great strategy. Frank Montecalvo and Townsend Bell finished fourth the GTD class in the number 12 RCF GT3 at the “short” Sebring race.

Perhaps this is a preview for when the circuit returns to Sebring for the rescheduled twelve hour race in November.

From the old airbase, the WeatherTech Sports Car Championship shifted north to Wisconsin and the best road course in the country – Road America. The conditions turned into a huge challenge due to rainstorms coming through the area. The wet conditions did not deter the AIM Vasser Sullivan RC F GT3s from maintaining a 1-2 lead in the GTD class with the race being red flagged.

At the finish line, the RC F GT3 twins finished 1-2 in the class with the number 14 taking the top podium in the GTD class in the wet. The number 12 finished right behind their teammates on the front straight of Road America.
