Las Vegas Business Press Expert’s Corner: March is Women’s History Month

March 3rd, 2023 by

Editor’s Note: In recognition of March as Women’s History Month and the theme for 2023 being “Celebrating Women Who Tell Our Stories,” the following stories and experiences are those of  the women who enjoy professional careers at Lexus of Las Vegas.
Sammy Gomez Began her career at Lexus of Henderson as a valet, before becoming a lot porter, pre-owned manager’s assistant and currently a Sales Consultant.

“It’s amazing working for Lexus. They treat you the same. Nothing is based on your gender. I feel happy coming to work everyday.”

Krystal Reyes Sales Consultant.

“Lexus of Las Vegas is the most diverse dealership I’ve ever worked at. We have women in all positions, including management… There is as much support as you need for whatever you want to do and however you want to grow.”

Rachel Roemer Lease Retention Manager/Sales Consultant.

“Women customers feel more comfortable when they see women in all departments. This makes female customers feel empowered, if they have a female talking to them… I have young women who come in to buy their first Lexus, and we immediately establish a relationship. It’s like having fun with your girlfriend. Women customers are more comfortable with us because we share the same lifestyles, children, etc.”

Elaina HunleyParts Associate. Former real estate agent.

“Men tend to be more knowledgeable about parts, so sometimes female customers feel intimidated. Women feel more comfortable with me because we can talk woman to woman… I like being the person who helps solve people’s problems, and Lexus allows me to do that.”

Kristina Duvall Service Advisor. Has 20 years automotive experience. Has worked for Lexus of Las Vegas for two years.

“If you are a female, you feel more comfortable coming to see a female (to service your vehicle). Things won’t be told to her in ‘man-explained’ terms. We women speak the same language…”
