It will set new benchmarks for the SUV segment and our brand. The 2022 NX will offer four new powertrains, including the brand’s first plug-in hybrid. It will also feature the next generation of intuitive technology through the Lexus Interface.
There are four models available on the 2022 Lexus NX…
NX 450h+ is the first plug-in model in Lexus history. This new driveline combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric drive system. On electric driving alone, the NX 450h+ can drive up to an estimated 36-mile range. The new Predictive Efficient Drive system couples with the navigation system, learns driving habits, predicts the expected roadway ahead and analyzes real-time traffic reports to optimize charging and discharging of the hybrid battery.
NX 350 will offer a larger 275-horsepower 2.4-liter turbocharged four cylinder engine, designed to excite the senses and deliver improved performance from the outgoing model.
NX 250 is available with a 203-horsepower naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine.
NX 350h is powered by an improved 2.5-liter four-cylinder with an electric drive system. Power has been increased to a combined 239 horsepower, while returning an estimated 36 MPG.
All four NX models will benefit from a new architecture The new NX will feature an improved ride and handling. With a lower center of gravity you will have more grip on the road giving you more confidence in all conditions. Yet, the NX does not compromise on comfort, delivering the quiet serenity you expect from a Lexus.
The new NX will be the first model to feature the all-new Lexus Interface multimedia system. The touchscreen itself will be right up front over the center stack for better driver interactivity. The standard screen will be 9.8 inches with an available 14-inch version on higher models. To add to the improved engagement by occupants inside the new NX, the Virtual Assistant will be the way for them to interact vocally with specific controls. Wireless smartphone integration and wireless charging will be standard on the new NX.
The driver now has a wider seven-inch multi-information display in the instrument cluster and an available 10-inch head-up display. Both of these features are designed to improve driver engagement on the road.
Taking driver assistance to the next level is the standard Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, plus Blind Spot Monitor. The updated system will include these new features: Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Left Turn Oncoming Vehicle Detection/Braking, Right/Left Turn Oncoming Pedestrian Detection/Braking, Oncoming Vehicle Detection added to the Pre-Collision System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Management, Road Sign Assist, an improved Pre-collision System, Lane Assistance, and Intelligent High Beams.
Safe Exit Assist and the innovative Digital Latch system are designed to make exiting the vehicle safely even more effortless in the 2022 NX.
